Bob Brown Haiku

I draw boats in ink
right under your very nose,
still you keep swimming.

Delwyn,

Bob's a fellow Buddhist in faraway Michigan. Met him through this blog.

Ohhhh I love that drawing so much!

I can't draw to a level that feels satisfying even my stick figures look all wrong.

But I do like to paint, I discovered at 50 ...
no need to be realistic I don't even aim for that, just lots of colour.

yes ....really do love that boat drawing ..
thank you for posting it.

But, Sarah Lulu, I must confess, I just clipped it off the internet. I didn't draw that boat!

Yes, very nice little boat - very sensible with its spritsail boom up high - making a soft footed mainsail with no boom to whack you on the head as you go about!

Very good Haiku too - so much pointedly said in so few words.

Alden, right on all counts.

I'm tempted to turn Bob Brown's Haiku into a Tanka by adding two snappy 7 syllable lines to the end:

I draw boats in ink
Right under your very nose,
Still you keep swimming.

The water is so pleasant,
I'm happy here. Join me, please.
